Abstract:

Plasmonic structures are well-known for confining light at the small volume. Among various structures, the coupled structures provide highly concentrated and enhanced EM filed, which can be used for the strong interaction with molecules surrounded. In this talk, two coupled plasmonic structures will be introduced. The first 3D coupled structure is designed for the backbone of the Raman tags. Their properties and application to the brain tumor cell imaging will be described. The second nanoparticle-film coupled structure is designed for the quantum strong coupling units. Under the ambient temperature, the mode splitting is observed in our system. A robust and deterministic strong coupling unit has potential for the quantum devices.
