Title: Advancement of 3D chaos lidar

Abstract:

We have been developing an eye-safe 3D pulsed chaos lidar system based on nonlinear laser dynamics for
applications such as autonomous vehicles, VR/AR, and remote sensing. By utilizing noise-like chaos waveforms, this
correlation-based lidar has high precision in ranging and is robust to jamming and interference. While in compliance
with the eye-safe regulation, our chaos lidar system can achieve high-speed 3D imaging with a throughput (pixel
rate) of 100 kHz, a frame rate of 10 Hz, and a FOV of 25 degrees.
In this presentation, I will talk about the basic principle of the chaos lidar system and what we have done to achieve
high-speed 3D imaging for practical applications. Also, I will show an on-site demo of the system.
